Earthquake Alcóntar

Post by John » 29 Jun 2019 22:07

Noticed on the IGN website a 4.0 magnitude earthquake in Alcóntar, almost on the border with Granada, it was felt in Baza and no doubt in other places two.
Occurred at 21:26 this evening (Spain time).
May have rattled a teacup in Puff's or Cantabrian's area?

Wasn't there one recently around the Lorca area? I do try to keep an eye on the IGN website just because it's so very interesting, especially when there's a run of little quakes one after the other for quite a few days, in the same area.

I don't know, Minerva, but there's now been 5 this evening, so quite a little cluster.

It's up to 12 now, with a 3.3 at 06:36 today and the latest at 12:20 Spain time.

Bit of a worry when there are so many rumbles.
