What's your all-time favourite and why?

Post by Toni »

Mine is Roberta Flack singing The First Time Ever I saw Your face. Even now when I hear it I get tingles down my spine and get all mushy....
I first heard it when I was living in Arizona in the early 70's and always associate it with an ex-GI I'd met there. He had come back from Vietnam as a drug addict (most had as the US Govt pumped them full of drugs to keep them awake and battle alert 24/7) and was on a Govt rehab programme. Sadly it didn't work out for him and he died. So sad as he was a really nice young lad but he introduced me to Roberta Flack and she has always been a strong favourite ever since.
Might be Frankie

It's so difficult to identify an all time favourite as I like so much music, especially female vocalists and ballads. I love "Someone like you" by Adele (it is my ringtone), I also love "Down Under" by Men at Work, but I especially like Melanie Safka and her rendition of Bob Dylans's "Lay lady lay"
So for today, I'll say that is my favourite. :)

Its quite difficult choosing one as there are so many great records out there but I think I would choose Guilty by Barbra Streisand.

Anything by Jackson Browne and everything by Anthony Toner.
